Wednesday, July 9, 2014 – A new wave of property buyers searching for the best of both worlds is swooping on apartment projects near green spaces and parkland, says the developer of a landmark tower in Parramatta.
In a decision fuelled by strong demand, Sydney-based property developer Crown Group has released for sale additional apartments at its $309 million V by Crown residential development in Parramatta ahead of schedule this month.
The 519-apartment V by Crown is located less than a kilometre from three major local landmarks; national-heritage listed Parramatta Park, Westfield Shopping Centre Parramatta and Parramatta train station.
Crown Group Director of Sales and Marketing Adam Sparkes said while luxury facilities were a top priority, close proximity to parks was often high on an apartment buyer’s wish list.
More than 335 apartments have been sold at V by Crown since it was launched in 2012.
The building’s innovative design includes two communal landscaped garden areas accessible to residents and guests.
“Property buyers are realising they can have it all, the resort-style facilities and low maintenance lifestyle of a luxury apartment combined with easy access to parklands and connection with the outdoors they might have from a property with its own backyard,” Mr Sparkes said.
“V by Crown’s close proximity to Parramatta Park is a real drawcard for buyers,” he said.
Parramatta’s public transport links, high-quality schools and universities, wide variety of entertainment and shopping options and proximity to Westmead Hospital were also attractive to property buyers, Mr Sparkes added.
“A well utilised park can instil a unique sense of community and recreation that is rare to find in metropolitan Sydney,” he said.
“Children can ride bikes or play cricket, adults can picnic, there’s something for everyone,” Mr Sparkes said.
The 85-hectare Parramatta Park features expansive green space, mature trees, playgrounds, picnic areas, sports fields, walking paths and cycling tracks.
Attracting more than 1.7 million visitors each year, Parramatta Park plays host to a range of well-attended events including Australia Day celebrations, Sydney Symphony in Parramatta Park, Mothers’ Day celebrations and live performances.
Parramatta City’s population is forecast to grow by up to 40 per cent in the next 20 years*.
Parramatta was named NSW’s Most Liveable Suburb in the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s ‘Building Up’ report released this year.
Often called Parramatta’s Vertical Village, V by Crown will feature a pool, gym, sauna, conference facilities, music room, theatrette, a library and a ground level retail and restaurant precinct.
The striking tower was designed by Allen Jack + Cottier Architects with interiors designed by Japanese-Australian architect Koichi Takada.
Apartments range from studio apartments to three-bedroom apartments.
V by Crown is expected to be complete in 2016.
For sale are studios, one-bedroom apartments, one-bedroom plus study apartments, two- bedroom apartments, two-bedroom apartments plus study and three-bedroom apartments.
Prices start from $490,000.
