(Sydney, Australia) Monday, March 30, 2015 – Bolstering its strong global presence, a well-known Australian property developer has been awarded two international accolades for its popular Waterloo and Sydney projects.
Sydney-based Crown Group was named winner of two categories at the 2015-2016 International Property Awards, Asia-Pacific region; to be presented at an official ceremony on May 7 and 8 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
Crown Group brought home the Residential Development (Australia) award for its iconic 25-storey 220-apartment development at 161 Clarence Street – Sydney by Crown.
Crown Group was named winner of the Interior Design Apartment (Australia) award for its striking three-bedroom penthouse at the recently-completed Viking by Crown in Waterloo.
The 10-storey building features 110 apartments, a stunning 25-metre pool, a fully-equipped gymnasium, a ground-floor terrace cafe and sun-drenched views of bourgeoning Waterloo.
The award-winning 265sqm penthouse was styled by local talent Fiona Spence, founder of popular Sydney homewares retailer Spence & Lyda; and features exceptional views and an indoor-and-outdoor living space.
The two prestigious international awards follow the expansion of Crown Group’s offices to four international locations in the past 24 months including Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali and Singapore.
The 2015-2016 International Property Awards, Asia-Pacific region celebrate company achievements across all sectors of the property and real estate industry.
Crown Group Chief Executive (CEO), Iwan Sunito said the two prestigious awards in the Asia-Pacific region were a welcome mark of distinction.
“We are honoured to receive these International Property Awards for not just one, but two, of our developments in Sydney,” he said.
“It is an exciting mark of distinction to win when competing against an exceptionally high calibre of nominees.
“These awards come as Crown Group’s brand continues to gain momentum around the world,” said Mr Sunito.
Entrants from more than 25 countries competed across each category in the region and were judged by a panel of more than 70 experts.
At last year’s International Property Awards Crown Group was awarded the Residential Development award for its $500-million development, Top Ryde City Living and Development Marketing award for its North Sydney development, Skye by Crown.
“Sydney by Crown and Viking by Crown have been exceptionally popular with our buyers, both owner occupiers and investors,” Mr Sunito added.
In November last year, Crown Group achieved an impressive $173 million in sales within four hours at the same-day launch of Sydney by Crown in Sydney, Indonesia and Singapore; after reaching its $100 million sales target within two hours.
Viking by Crown sold out prior to its completion earlier this year and hundreds of residents moved the building last month.
In 2014, Sydney surpassed competition from 30 countries to be ranked the world’s most liveable city by Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
Crown Group will compete for the title of overall Regional Winner to be announced at the International Property Awards, Asia-Pacific region gala dinner evening on May 7 and 8 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
