(Sydney, Australia) Tuesday November 6, 2018 – Leading Australian developer Crown Group has been awarded top prizes at the 2018 HIA-CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards on Saturday night.
The multi-award winning Australian developer Crown Group was named the winner of the HIA NSW Apartment Complex over 10 storeys partnered by Miele and HIA NSW Outdoor Project partnered by Amber Tiles during an event on Saturday 20 October.
The Sydney based developer Crown Group’s North Sydney apartment tower, Skye by Crown Group, has achieved one of the highest honors within the residential building industry.
The housing industry association (HIA) is the peak industry association for the Australian residential housing industry, promoting industry standards to new heights.
Crown Group Chief Operation Officer Pierre Abrahamse said the HIA-CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards are among the industry’s most prestigious awards, and Crown Group was thrilled to see Skye by Crown Group recognised as the winner of the top prizes.“The prestigious awards recognise the hard work and dedication of Crown Group in striving for excellence through the design and innovation,” said Mr. Abrahamse.
“It is a testament to Crown Group’s outstanding achievement in workmanship in terms of residential building construction,” he added.
Designed by world-renowned Japanese-Australian architect Koichi Takada. This 20-storey building features 242 apartments, an expansive foyer, ground-floor retail outlets, a top-floor gym and infinity-edged rooftop pool with stunning views over North Sydney.
As one of many standout features, the infinity rooftop pool become an architectural centrepiece of North Sydney. Inspired by the world’s best five-star hotel swimming pools such as the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore, the 25m infinity rooftop pool sits alongside a luxury residents’ gym and lounge and is fringed by an expansive timber deck and tropical plants.
“The project was well designed with consideration in all apartments to make the most of the views, natural light and ventilation. The rooftop infinity pool, gym and communal areas provided an outdoor escape for inner city living. The Skyedeck delivers both a beautiful and functional communal space with the infinity pool, lounge and outdoor areas providing resort style luxury which makes the most of the Sydney skyline,” judges said.
Skye by Crown Group provides its residents a mixed-use urban lifestyle. It is conveniently located at 211-223 Pacific Highway at North Sydney, close to transport, shops and major employment hubs, with construction completed in 2016.
“With Skye by Crown Group, we were to create a global icon in Sydney for decades to come,” Mr. Abrahamse said, “and today we are happy to see that vision now become a reality.”
