Friday, February 28, 2014, Crown Group has today announced the relocation of its head office to the Sydney CBD, as part of its continued expansion.

After many years of strong growth, Sydney-based property developer Crown Group will relocate its head office from 68 Alfred Street Milsons Point to 1 Market Street, Sydney by May 2014.

Crown Group CEO Iwan Sunito made the announcement today and went on to reveal Crown Group’s Milsons Point head office was available for lease or sale.

Since it was founded in 1996, the company has expanded to more than 130 employees, across five locations.

“I’m pleased to announce after many years of solid growth, Crown Group will soon relocate its head office to Sydney’s CBD, a move in line with Crown Group’s vision for the next decade to continue to expand our operations in Australia and overseas and our expansion into funds management and serviced apartments,”

“Crown Group’s new 1 Market Street head office is located in the heart of Sydney’s thriving financial and business district and close to our coming Clarence Street development, Sydney by Crown,”

“The CBD relocation is a natural progression for Crown Group,” Mr Sunito said.

After 18 years of growth, Crown Group today has a development pipeline of projects worth more than $3 billion.

The company currently has four major projects under construction in Sydney, at Parramatta, Waterloo, Top Ryde and North Sydney.

The new CBD location will be in close proximity to Crown Group’s upcoming Clarence Street development Sydney by Crown, to be launched in mid-2014, which – along with V by Crown in Parramatta, to be completed in 2016 – is planned to include a component of serviced apartments.

Designed by Sydney-based Koichi Takada Architects, the 24-storey Sydney by Crown is located at 161-165 Clarence Street and features heritage-inspired archways on lower levels transitioning to a modern glass-and-steel tower.

Crown Group General Manager – Developments Pierre Abrahamse said the new CBD location at Level 29, 1 Market Street was an important move for the expanding company.

“The 1 Market Street head office provides more space for Crown Group’s growing team of staff,”

“The new office will be an excellent base for Crown Group’s development, finance, admin, marketing and construction teams,” Mr Abrahamse said.

CEO Mr Sunito said the Milsons Point head office had served Crown Group well for many years, however the time was right for the growing company to relocate.

“The decision to relocate was made after much thought and with mixed feelings, as we’ve marked and celebrated a number of important company milestones during our time based in Milsons Point. We will leave with some sadness, however we are excited to move ahead towards what we see as a natural progression for Crown Group,” Mr Sunito said.

Crown Group’s 360 sq m top floor office space at level 11, 68 Alfred Street Milsons Point is available for sale or lease.

It features state-of-the-art conference rooms/meeting rooms, executive offices and harbour views north and south.

Ben Kirby, Senior Executive, Investment Sales, Colliers International said the newly-listed top floor office at Alfred Street offered a number of advantages to businesses looking for a new space.

“It is rare to see a commercial strata property of this quality. The penthouse floor at 68 Alfred Street is an incredible opportunity for a business to secure a rare whole floor office in sought after Milsons Point,” Mr Kirby said.

“The signage opportunities on the front of the building will allow a company to establish their own corporate identity, while the flexible floor-plan will allow for long term growth.”

Milsons Point is home to Sydney’s famous Luna Park, Bradfield Park and boasts exceptional public transport links including a train station, two ferry wharves and bus stops and a selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and retail stores.

The penthouse office space enjoys a prominent signage position on the building’s Alfred Street façade.
