(Sydney, Australia) Tuesday March 14, 2017 – Parramatta’s long-awaited vertical village has opened to the public attracting hundreds of new residents and visitors.
The $300-million Western Sydney development V by Crown Group, referred to by local media as “Parramatta’s Vertical Village,” drew visitors from all over Sydney when Neil Perry’s Burger Project, the first in Western Sydney, opened in the building on Friday.
More than 220 new residents have moved in to the development since the first of its two towers opened last month.
Developed by award-winning Australian property developer Crown Group, the 590-apartment project features high quality finishes and resort-style amenities including a pool, gym, sauna, conference facilities, music room, theatrette, a library and a level-26 bar featuring sweeping views of Parramatta’s Heritage parklands, Sydney’s CBD and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Crown Group Global Head of Sales and Marketing Julian Sedgwick said it he was thrilled to see V by Crown Group come to life, since the first tower opened its doors last month.
The building’s unique lobby, resort-style pool and luxury amenities had proven to be huge drawcards, Mr Sedgwick said.
“The popularity of apartments at V by Crown Group both for lease and for sale demonstrates the demand for high-quality apartments with resort-style amenities and lively ground-floor cafe atmosphere in Parramatta,” he said.
“More than 200 people have already moved in and more than 80 per cent of apartments for sale have already sold, months before our grand-opening.
“Last week we saw a queue out the door at the opening of Neil Perry’s Burger Project, which is the first restaurant to open at V by Crown Group’s world-class architecturally-designed ground-floor plaza,” Mr Sedgwick added.
V by Crown Group will also be home to Parramatta’s first five-star hotel Skye Hotel Suites; set to attract both domestic and international visitors to Parramatta comprising 72 luxury suites scheduled to open in mid-2017.
First homebuyer Alex Topic is relocating from Newtown to Parramatta after buying an apartment in V by Crown Group.
Mr Topic said he was originally looking at older properties in the CBD, but found more value in a high-quality apartment in Parramatta.
“I’d be looking at paying the same price for an old apartment, half the size,” Mr Topic said.
“I hadn’t considered Western Sydney, but when I looked the development was very conveniently located and a lot higher quality,” he said.
Designed by Sydney-based Allen Jack + Cottier and Koichi Takada Architects, the project is located on the corner of Macquarie and Marsden streets, less than 300m from Parramatta Square; Parramatta City Council’s $2-billion redevelopment precinct and a short walk from Parramatta train station, Parramatta Heritage Parklands and Westfield Parramatta.
V by Crown Group was awarded the Five Star Award for Residential High Rise Architecture Australia at the 2016 – 2017 Asia Pacific Property Awards last year.
The development’s second tower is scheduled for completion in May.
Joining Neil Perry’s Burger Project, new ground-floor restaurants and retail outlets including The Shed Café, Shakudo Japanese restaurant and level-26 bar Nick and Nora’s are scheduled to open later this year.
A selected number of apartments are available for sale ranging from one-bedroom apartments for $642,000 to three-bedroom penthouses for $2,545,000.
